What are wet rooms?
A wet room can be such like a Continental style bathroom (as you might see on holiday
in luxury hotels) where everything is on a level floor and gets washed away.
They can be all ceramic therefore can be more practical than a normal bathroom.
All floors are tanked with a waterproof membrane, and the neccessary falls for water
drainage.
For extreme luxury, flat screen tvs can be set in the walls.
Great for special needs , wheelchair.
Wet room heating
Underfloor heating so the room dries out quickly. Towel warmers and radiators can still be used.
Wet room practicalities
Wet rooms can be seperated into a 'wet area' with a shower screen.
There may be a small step into the bathroom with a wet room to accommodate the incline
and falls needed for drainage.
Wet room lighting
Lighting: zone lighting where can be wet, low voltage etc.
